The importance of Demonstrated Interest

The Common Application and Coalition Application, among others, allow students to apply to many schools many of which the student may not be interested in attending but applied to because "who knows, right?". So why should a school accept a "meh" kind of student when they can accept a "YES" kind of student, one who really wants to attend? And how can a school tell the difference? This is where DI or Demonstrated Interested is so vital in the process. Students need to have the right academic profile to apply but need to demonstrate interest to get accepted! Read why DI is SO IMPORTANT in the process and which schools place a lot of emphasis on it.
