Joanna De Jesus is the CEO and Principal Consultant of IvyWay College Admissions & Financial Aid Consulting. Her passion towards college counseling began many years ago while attending Smith College as an undergraduate student. During her time there, she served as a Gold Key Guide, providing campus tours to prospective students and their families. Following graduation, she continued her involvement in college admissions as Smith College's Alumnae Admissions Coordinator for Puerto Rico. In this role, Joanna visited high schools, participated in local college fairs, interviewed applicants, and prepared alumnae interview reports to support the admissions process. After many years of working in college admissions from the institutional perspective, she now brings that same level of professionalism, expertise, and commitment to helping students and families navigate the admissions process from the applicant's side.
Joanna holds a Bachelors in Arts in Economics from Smith College and a Graduate-level degree in College Admissions Counseling from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). She is a member of the following organizations: National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC); the Independent Educational Consultants Association, Associate Member, (IECA); the International Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC); and The Southern Association for College Admissions Counseling (SACAC). She is also a member of the Alumnae Association of Smith College, the Association of Latina Alumnae of Smith College (ALAS), the Smith College Club of Puerto Rico, the Seven Sisters Alum Association and the UCLA Alumni Association. Joanna is trilingual in English, Spanish and French.

IvyWay Social Media Manager:
Joanna Gonzalez De Jesus
Joanna Gonzalez De Jesus is IvyWay’s Social Media Manager. In this role, she is responsible for creating, designing, and executing IvyWay’s social media strategy across multiple platforms. Her interest in college admissions began during her undergraduate years at Boston University where she worked in the Questrom School of Business Office of Graduate Admissions as an Office Assistant. In this role, she gained firsthand exposure to the complexities of recruiting and admitting students to BU’s graduate programs, including its top-ranked MBA programs.
Joanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Boston University. She is a member of Boston University's Alumni Association and BU's Puerto Rico Alumni Chapter. Joanna is fully bilingual in English and in Spanish.
