The many problems students and their families are facing trying to complete the FAFSA has caused NACAC to ask universities and colleges to consider delaying the National Reply Date (NRD) of May 1. By delaying the NRD to say May 15, students will be able to compare financial aid offers and visit schools in their short list. The idea is for students to not feel rushed in the process and to make the best college decision possible.
